is a variable which contains a string. toUpperCase()
is a method which we can call on strings, and you've have one little typo here: you have an extra close parens )
at the end.
id.toUpperCase()
is going to return a value, and we want to use the assignment operator =
to put that value into the variable userName
:
var userName = id.toUpperCase();
