the task states: Assign the string "A stitch in time saves nine." to the quoteLabel.

you are missing the period at the end of the sentence:

class viewController: UIViewController {

    @IBOutlet weak var quoteLabel: UILabel!

    @IBAction func quoteButtonPressed() {

        // put period at end of string
        quoteLabel.text = "A stitch in time saves nine."
    }

}

thanks, man. wow, the answers are so sensitive to these small things.

generally you have to follow the instructions very closely. the challenge usually knows only one correct answer. If you do not provide whats its looking for, you wont pass
