I have a few questions to start... 1.What is the use of the 'Console' below the editor window in Workspace?

  1. I do not see tabs allowing me to switch between the editor window and preview windows in Workspace (particularly for the index.html exercise)

  2. What does 'forking' a workspace file do?

Console is used for other languages like Ruby/Javascript/.etc. It does not serve any function for HTML/CSS. (I believe if anyone, can confirm)

Workspaces basically acts as a text editor program while your preview function needs to be used within a web browser(chrome/firefox/internet explorer) to see how it "acts".

Not sure what forking is, perhaps duplicating it?

  1. In your workspace located in the top right corner you will see an eye icon which if you click will open a window in your browser and everytime you update your file and save it when you click the preview button (eye icon) you will see the same url in your browser updated with the changes you have made.

  2. When you fork a workspace you are creating a new url in your browser on which the updates will affect, this way if you want to see the difference your update has made...great for "new vs old" to play with and test the changes in your work.

The console at the beginning stages is not something you will be using (not used in HTML or CSS)

If you're curious about the console and its purpose, check out Treehouse's Console Foundations course.

Thanks for the help guys!
