I have a lot of time to learn from online courses not only from treehouse, I always say to myself start tomorrow or sometimes I find it boring to watch videos and fall sleep while watching it.
if you have a suggestion that might help I am glad to hear

This helped me be a little more professional also I enjoy a little bit of environmental distraction I have a comfortable pair of earbuds and listen to Coffitivity on low in the background.
I find that once you become more active in your approach to learning and put enough time in, you realize that Treehouse is a productive and helpful learning environment. I try to spend 2.5 hours a day. This is slow because it is the only resource I use but I notice I am more forward and earnestly learning from my mistakes, lessons and forum. But it is good to have a project to work on outside of the lessons (like a personal portfolio) or try to make your own versions of all the projects that are practiced by the students.
Also there is always the option to speed up videos or skip them if you are just "reviewing" but I recommend watching them if the subjects are new otherwise you will not understand the quizzes or coding challenges!
If videos are not your thing, because there are many and they range from basic, advanced and intermediate. I think Codecademy helps a lot and the lessons are really quick, I can finish a track within a day!! there and return to Treehouse to review what I have learned. I think Codecademy works well but it is not the same experience that I enjoy from Treehouse.

I have the same problem of putting things off, or getting bored and not completing a course. One thing that works for me is to build something that I'm interested in along side of the tutorials. While you watch the tutorials, you can think about how this would apply to your project. Maybe one of your interests is cooking, for example. You could build a site to hold your favorite recipes. (not the best example, but you get the idea).
Lately, I've been thinking about how I can improve my github profile. So before I take a course, I might think of how I can apply the teachings of the course to a project I can put on github for the world to use (or to impress employers).
