28,449 PointsI have been offered a job as Junior Quality Assurance
Hello teamtreehouse users,
I have been developing apps with laravel and vue.js for some time. I like developing and I also have done some testing along the way. So today I got an offer for Junior Quality Assurance. Now my question is: is this going to offer me career opportunities or is it a hole that I won't be able to get out of if I decide this is not for me and start looking for development job?
The company offers course on QA, which is great since I am not really sure what will exactly be my responsibility. Any information from people who have worked as QA will be of great value.
Thanks you.

Curious about this question as well, as I was recently interacting with a recruiter regarding a Validation Engineer position.

Courses Plus Student 12,281 PointsI have a couple solutions I've heard will work for this speed bump.
If you are signing a contract, check to see if it is an open contract. If it is then you can walk away when you see fit.
If you are wanting to progress up their ladder ask if the job is restricted to QA only promotions, Pretty much just find out if you can be promoted to a dev position by asking your superior.
