Hi Alexander,

Part 1 of the challenge is to create a method (getter) that will give the color of the GoKart.

public class GoKart {
  public String mColor = "red";
}

You declare the method public so other classes can call the method. Next is "String" which means this method will return a String, in this case whatever is stored in "mColor". We called the method getColor() since that is the "common" way of writing getters for certain properties. You drop the "m" and get get + NameOfProperty().

public class GoKart {
  public String mColor = "red";

 public String getColor() {
    return mColor;
 }
}

I hope this helps.
