i have NO clue whats wrong with my code...

im almost positive that my code is right, but then again.. im just starting, but i want to get this right before i move on, but i cant get the questions left to go down

You simply have a typo. In these two lines:

questionsleft = ' [' + questions + ' questions left]'; // Line 5
questionsleft = ' [' + questions + ' questions left]'; // Line 8

You spell the variable name as questionsleft (all lowercase) in all other lines you spell it as questionsLeft (The L is capitalized).

Since JavaScript is case-sensitive it considers questionsleft and questionsLeft to be two entirely different names, and therefore entirely different variables. If you simply fix that capitalization difference then your code will work fine.
