Hello!

There's a bracket that shouldn't be there.

public class Tweet {
  private String text;

  public Tweet(String text) {
    this.text = text;
  }

  public String getText() {
    return text;
  }

  public void setText(String text) {
    this.text = text;
  }
  public static final int  MAX_CHARS = 140;
} // <-------------
  public int getRemainingCharacterCount() {
   return MAX_CHARS - text.length();
  }
}

That makes the getRemainingCharacterCount method out of the Tweet class, which kinda makes it invalid. Removing that bracket will fix things.

this is the queison

Create a public method named getRemainingCharacterCount that returns an int representing how many characters they have left before they 140. Base your calculation on the field that stores the current text.

the error i get is

./Tweet.java:17: error: class, interface, or enum expected public int getRemainingCharacterCount() { ^ ./Tweet.java:19: error: class, interface, or enum expected } ^ Note: JavaTester.java uses unchecked or unsafe operations. Note: Recompile with -Xlint:unchecked for details. 2 errors

thanks it worked thanks
