I having trouble finding why this code would not work. I have tried the code in xCode and it does work.

// the height and width of a wall let height = 120.0 // in inches let width = 144.0 // in inches

let areaInInches: Int = height * width let areaInFeet: Int areaInInches / 12

Assignment check says I need to declare a constant areaInFeet.

area.swift
// the height and width of a wall
let height = 120.0 // in inches
let width = 144.0 // in inches

let areaInInches: Int = height * width
let areaInFeet: Int areaInInches / 12

It should look like this:

// the height and width of a wall
let height = 120.0 // in inches
let width = 144.0 // in inches

let areaInFeet = (height / 12) * (width / 12)

Kyle - thank you. Although I like your code more than mine because it spares a line and a extra variable it also looks as though the assignment check is looking for specific answers. Thanks for the help!
