CSS Framework Basics Prototyping with Foundation Building a Top Bar Navigation

I just imported the css file of "foundation 6", I realized most of the effects that Guil taught us can't be realized.

I downloaded Foundation 4 to follow Guil without having to read up on and figure out, 6 at the same time. I think this is an easier way to learn ( as a true Foundation beginner!) if one is to follow Treehouse's current Foundation classes. I am assuming learning 6 won't be much of an issue once the basics are understood.

Anyways here is the link for Foundation 4.

Which effects are you referring to? Foundation 6 is the newest release so I would recommend that, as it also contains the Motion UI which adds a lot of extra animations.

The entire menu component seems different in Foundation 6 to Foundation 4; it seems like different markup and classes are needed to achieve the navigation bar which Guil is creating in the video. I'm just going to go along with the Foundation 6 docs open and see how I can achieve the same thing with the newer version of the framework.

Yeah I think from what I can remember during testing out F6 before launch, they had mentioned that the menu was heavily reworked so I wouldn't be surprised if the structuring of it is different than that video.

I'd imagine that it is best to keep up-to-date with new advancements in frameworks so that your websites can make the most of the newer features that they offer.

If you're looking for a way of adding a top bar navigation like Guil does in this video on Foundation 6, this solution worked for me:
