Java

I keep running into an issue that most likely pertains to java.util.Date

This is the error I keep getting javac Example.java && java Example./com/teamtreehouse/Treet.java:13: error: incompatible types: Date cannot be converted to String mCreationDate = creationDate;
^
./com/teamtreehouse/Treet.java:22: error: incompatible types: String cannot be converted to Date return mCreationDate;

And here is my code. At first I thought it might be an issue with my placement of the import but both seem to be okay. https://w.trhou.se/v9yd440p83

I'm getting a "Doesn't exist" error when trying you view your snapshot, but it sounds like you declared the member variable mCreationDate as a String instead of a Date.

package com.teamtreehouse;

import java.util.Date;

public class Treet {
private String mAuthor;
private String mDescription;
private String mCreationDate;

public Treet(String author, String description, Date creationDate) {
mAuthor = author;
mDescripton = description;
mCreationDate = creationDate;
}
 public String getAuthor() {
 return mAuthor;
 } public String getDescription() {
 return mDescription;
 }
 public Date getCreationDate() {
return mCreationDate;
 }
 }
