7,583 PointsI need help using a hardware device to run developed android programs instead of emulators.
So, I've worked for hours on trying to get emulators to work on my computer. It isn't working right for Genymotion and I just can't get it to work for Android Studio's because I'm running windows with an AMD processor and not intel (I need to install an intel driver for virtual technology to work).
With all that being said, I was wondering if I could get some help using my phone to run the programs because this is the only option that I can get to work at this point. I looked at this source for help specifically for doing this with android studio but it didn't really help me http://developer.android.com/tools/device.html
I have an HTC Inspire and it is running android version 2.3.3. My connection is set for USB debugging and I have a usb cable connected to my computer. I also have the option of "USB device" clicked in Android Studio but nothing is happening and it says that the "USB device is not found" even though it shows up on my computer. Any help with this would be appreciated. This whole process has been pretty frustrating.
