CSS Sass Basics (retired) Advanced Sass Concepts Interpolating and if/else

I need some help please.

Underneath the previous code, store the value morning in a variable named $time. Then write an if/else directive that will color all <a> tags. If the variable $time is equal to morning, the color should be red. Otherwise, if the variable is afternoon, the color should be blue. Finally, if the variable is set to anything else, the color should be gray.

Hi Blake,

I think (by looking at the code posted) that you may have deleted the code from the first 3 tasks in the challenge. I copied you code snippet above and pasted it after the code I put in for tasks 1, 2, and 3, and it passed, so your code is correct.

Here is the complete code needed for task 4 (posting it because your code is correct, just missing your previous code lines).

@mixin cars($make, $color){
  .#{$make} {
    border:1px solid black;
    background-image: url("img/#{$color}.png")
  }
}

$time: morning;

a {
  @if $time == morning {
    color: red;
  } @else if $time == afternoon {
    color: blue;
  } @else {
    color: gray;
  }
}

Jason Anders Thank you very much i am very appreciative i was almost pulling my hair out on this one.
