I pass Task 1, then when I go to put in the correct answer in Task 2 it says "Task 1 is no longer passing". So I'm stuck

Stuck on this Challenge and I can't continue on. PLEASE HELP!

It looks like you erased the code for task 1 from what you posted. What you need for the 2nd step is to add the code at the end of the same line you edited for the first. (or on a 2nd line)

var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase() + "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();
