I think I'm misunderstanding the question here. The .format() is being used on menu. Though what are we passing in?

Not sure what to pass in as an argument.

banana.py
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(";")
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}".format(sundaes)
display_menu = sundaes.join(", ")
menu = menu.format(display_menu)

The final answer is supposed to use the value in the display_menu variable. However, some of your code is incorrect.

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(";")
display_menu = ", ".join(sundaes)
menu = "Our available flavors are {}".format(display_menu)
