Android Build an Interactive Story App (Retired) Intents and Multiple Activities Getting Data from an Intent

I use intent.getIntExtra ("FUEL_LEVEL") to set an integer value. It always generates error...

The default value is an integer. I try to use intent.getIntExtra to set the value of mFuelLevel but failed. Please help.

FlightActivity.java
import android.os.Bundle;

public class FlightActivity extends Activity {

  public int mFuelLevel = 0;

  @Override
  protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
    super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
    setContentView(R.layout.activity_flight);

    // Add your code below!
    Intent intent = getIntent();
    mFuelLevel = intent.getIntExtra("FUEL_LEVEL");
  }
}

Hello, the task gives reference to documentation of intents, there you can find ' getIntExtra(String name, int defaultValue)'; The task also gives info - 'Use "FUEL_LEVEL" as the key and -1 as the default value'.

so....

Soo, you are using only one parameter: mFuelLevel = intent.getIntExtra("FUEL_LEVEL") instead as in docs: getIntExtra(String name, int defaultValue).

You didn't close FUEL_LEVEL with "" from both sides ;)

I tried to write

mFuelLevel = intent.getIntExtra("FUEL_LEVEL,-1);

it generated errors again..

./FlightActivity.java:14: error: unclosed string literal mFuelLevel = intent.getIntExtra("FUEL_LEVEL,-1); ^ ./FlightActivity.java:14: error: ';' expected mFuelLevel = intent.getIntExtra("FUEL_LEVEL,-1); ^ ./FlightActivity.java:16: error: reached end of file while parsing } ^ 3 errors

It works. Many thanks!
