I just want to make sure that I am doing this right

you wrote
println("\(todo) \(todo.count)")
However, all it wants its the count to be printed, not the todo array AND the count (note: since you are just printing the array count by itself interpolation is not necessary)
var todo = ["Learn Swift", "Build App", "Deploy App"]
println(todo.count)
you generally have to follow the instructions very carefully. If you provide something the challenge did not ask for, it wont let you pass.
