16,001 PointsI'd like to do a kind of unofficial survey about track progression.
Since I'm currently away from home, and don't have access to everything I need where I am now, like, for example, Photoshop and Illustrator, my console (I use a Linux computer that can also run Windows 7 at home) or the code editor and ergonomic keyboard that I'm used to, I've found that I need to do courses out of track sequence, in order to be able to keep progressing.
I'm wondering how common it is for people to deviate from the order of courses in particular tracks, for whatever reason they might need or want to do so? If you've ever gone out of sequence for a particular track, I'd just like to hear you talk about that briefly; the reasons why and how it worked for you. Thanks in advance!

13,023 PointsI started on Front End Dev, moved to PHP, finished the Python course, and lastly the Business course. The first two were never finished but I am happy with where I am as a developer right now. I discovered I enjoy the backend a lot more then the front and probably won't go back. I would assume it is a little different for everyone. Right now I am working on my portfolio before learning something new.
Goodluck! --Ricky

16,001 PointsJust to supply a little further explanation: I started with the Front-end Web Dev track and then decided to deviate to the Web Design track for the time being. I intend to finish both tracks and possibly WordPress, too, before I'm done. Plus a few other things, related to Business and a few other programs I'd like to dip my toe into.
