C# C# Basics (Retired) Perfect if / else if / else

if/ else if/ else challenge task 1

I am getting Error CS1525 (19,28) when I try to compile my code, but have gone over it over and over again and cannot seem to figure out what the problem is..

bool keepGoing = true;
while (keepGoing);
{
    string input = Console.ReadLine();
    int temperature = int.Parse(input);

    if(temperature == string)
    {
        keepGoing = false;
    }
    else if(temperature < 21)
    {
        Console.WriteLine("Too cold!");
    }
    else if(temperature <= 22)
    {
        Console.WriteLine("Just right.");
    }
    else
    {
        Console.WriteLine("Too hot!");
    }

I apologize, it is (13,28) rather than (19,28).

You don't need a while loop. You just need if and else if.

string input = Console.ReadLine(); int temperature = int.Parse(input);

if(temperature < 21) { Console.WriteLine("Too cold!"); } else if(temperature <= 22) { Console.WriteLine("Just right."); } else { Console.WriteLine("Too hot!"); }

It looks like you mixed two challenges together.

Your if/else if chain looks good, except for the first test involving keepGoing. That variable isn't needed for this challenge, nor is the loop (which has a syntax error anyway).
