I'm getting this error "Strict mode forbids implicit creation of global property" am I not supposed to define my var?

I added a var and removed it but the same error appears.

var example: var num= ' ';

script.js
for ( i = 4; i <= 156; i += 1 ) {
  console.log( num );
}

That error is telling you that you forgot to declare "i" in the loop ("for (var i = 4; ...").

And you don't need "num", since "i" is what you want to log.

That makes sense, thank you.
