Im on project 4 on tech-degree course and I made a 'variables' partial and made 5 color variables, but when I try using the variables in other partials it doesn't work. I don't understand what im suppose to do to use variables that were defined in other partials.

How and where are you importing your variables. Are you using @import or @use/@forward?
Are you able to provide a link to the most current repo from Github?
