note : I didnt view node or amber or d3 , i started directly by angular !

Hi there Ayoub.

I've been in the same boat! I still have an open course on Angular on Treehouse that I'm hoping to finish some day! I can't say where you'd have been better off going with Ember or Node first because I haven't done these courses yet but I have encourage you to hang in there!

It is a very technical course. I don't think I'd even describe it as a beginners guide to Angular. I've actually gone out of Treehouse and started a free course on the topic elsewhere. I'm not sure if I should sau wit but and I haven't completed yet but I do think you should consider doing the same before coming back to this course as it might prepare you for what's to come in this course.

In my opinion it is a little advanced in the examples it shows through (or maybe I;m just not keeping up) I just find throws a lot at you but that's my personal experience. Hang in there! I'm sure the Angular course in Treehouse is a good one :-)

thanks Jonathan, but I really dont get anything of what the teacher is doing, if I want to learn something, I want to uderstand the slicest thing in it, even a comma ! yet the course is starting with an already written code in angular and methods and all, its like japanese ! thats why I wondered if I have to take an other course before heading to angular.js, shit, it ruined my ambition :( !

Unfortunately I think the course assumes we know a thing or 2 about Angular already. I'm not sure what else to suggest except keep going. Download some workspaces for the course or the project files. Look at the basic setup and dependencies for an angular file and take some time to delve into it. Hopefully with a bit of persistance you'll start to understand what Alex the course teacher is trying to get across.

Good luck. :-)

yeah, I ll look for a basic course elsewhere then hit back to treehouse, thanks Jonathan, I appreciate !

I recommend the free courses on Angular are available at Code School and Codecademy.

yeah, right where I headed, and its actually sad that we have to look away for other competetive schools in order to understand something !

@Ayoub it's not you that is the problem, but the course and the way it is put together. Unfortunately the explanations aren't very good. It' important to understand the workings behind the code to get a grasp of what is happening and why. I found the following video on Youtube very enlightening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejBkOjEG6F0 he also has an extensive course on Udemy that you can take.

Hope this helps.

I found that link, and I got the idea to share it here if it might help anyone :

I wish the course was more beginner friendly. I find myself watching and rewatching the videos and am still having a hard time putting the pieces together. This course just doesn't seem as intuitive as the courses for jquery and javascript.

I've already learned angular from code school but still i dont understand this idiot's lessons.

+1 I have a feeling that I knew more about Angular before I started this course lol.

I found this video by Dan Wahlin to be helpful for getting an overview of Angularjs before using the online courses. http://weblogs.asp.net/dwahlin/angularjs-in-60-ish-minutes-the-ebook

Wow. I just asked similar question and saw yours :) At least I know I am not the only one who is lost with Angular -_- Jonathan's advice sounds good. I am going to check some basic tutorials before even continuing with this course.

Good luck!
