What I'm saying is, don't give up. Rewatch the videos you don't understand just yet, until you do. Try new learning techniques like Hermanos suggested and see what works for you. Be patient with yourself and give yourself time to learn. We've all been in the same boat as you, don't worry.

2,028 PointsNick, I completely understand how you feel. I have been trying to learn JavaScript off and on for the past year. What I have found that is really helpful is to take your time and scour through the Q&A's for each topic and see if you can figure out what's wrong with their code. If this is your first time learning JavaScript, I would suggest looking at other courses as well(There are free resources like codecademy or cheap courses on Udemy). That will give different viewpoints and different challenges when it comes to learning functions, loops, arrays etc.

Maybe you're more a kinesthetic type of learner and need to take more notes on the subject, or maybe you're more a visual learner and need to build more diagrams, maps, etc. There are plenty sources about this on the internet. Loops are easy, and If you need I can give you other sources where you can improve your learning.
