1,555 PointsIm stuck on this one. Can determine why my classmethod is failing here.
I've googled the question, and my code appears to be similar to code that has passed. I'm sure Im missing something basic. Also not sure why there are red dashes next to the 2nd and 3rd methods under the Letter class.
class Letter:
def __init__(self, pattern=None):
self.pattern = pattern
def __iter__(self):
yield from self.pattern
def __str__(self):
output = []
for blip in self:
if blip == '.':
output.append('dot')
else:
output.append('dash')
return '-'.join(output)
@classmethod
def from_string(cls, new_string):
split_str = new_string.split('-')
new_list = []
for i in split_str:
if i == 'dot':
new_list.append('.')
else:
new_list.append('-')
return cls(new_list)
class S(Letter):
def __init__(self):
pattern = ['.', '.', '.']
super().__init__(pattern)

231,269 PointsIn the second "append", the code adds a hyphen ('-') instead of an underscore ('_'). Typo, perhaps?
