Here is the correct code:

<ul>
<li><img src="numbers-01.jpg" alt=""/></li>
<li><img src="numbers-02.jpg" alt=""/></li>
<li><img src="numbers-06.jpg" alt=""/></li>
</ul>

Formatted:

<ul>
    <li>
        <img src="numbers-01.jpg" alt=""/>
    </li>
    <li>
        <img src="numbers-02.jpg" alt=""/>
    </li>
    <li>
        <img src="numbers-06.jpg" alt=""/>
    </li>
</ul>

Some tags do need a closing tag, for example

<a></a>

Others don't need a closing tag, for example

<img src="" alt="">

But this tag doesn't exist,

<img src="" alt=""/>

So no slash involved.

Thank you it worked, but still not sure what when wrong with me.
