I'm trying to delete simple text in the body and my change is not populating at all in the viewed result.

Steps:

  1. I went to the workspace, clicked on in the main link "Tree House Introduction to Workspaces" and another window popped up that lead me to the workspace.

  2. I clicked on the index.html file on the left and it brought me to the story Joy was talking about in the video prior to the excerise.

  3. I deleted a part of the text as my first exercise and clicked on the "eye" looking icon on the very top right hand of the screen to preview the changes.

  4. Another window popped up, however, my changes did not populate in the story, but the story did populate without the changes.

I feel like this is something simple I'm just not noticing. Please help.

Looks like I had to open up an incognito window in order for the change to populate in the new window.

Hi Julia,

Opening an incognito window would show the changes, because it's opening and reloading at the same time (meaning it's not pulling anything from the cache).

Now I'm not sure if is because of this, but if your old preview window was open already, and you click on the eye, the browser might just be pulling from the cache instead of the updated code. What I do when working with Workspaces and previews, is I leave the window/tab open. After I save my changes in Workspaces, I just go to the open tab/window and hit refresh/reload to see the changes.
