The teacher is pretty outstanding from what I've seen so far so I can imagine his instructions on the matter are leagues better than mine on top of the visual aid it provides you to set it all up and get it running.

16,560 PointsHere install this http://www.genymotion.com/ the emulator for android sucks. Genymotion is a third party emulator and is sometimes faster than an Android phone itself. You will just need to install the plugin after you download and install the Genymotion application. It will give you the URL for the plugin. Just highlight and copy that text.
Then: open 'Eclipse'->'Help'->'Install New Software'->left-click inside of 'work with:' field and paste the text->Click 'Enter'-> right-click 'checkbox' next to the plugin that will appear under the 'name' column->click next->install->agree to license->restart eclipse
Open Genymotion application in start menu and choose what model phone you want. Wait for download to finish.
Go back to eclipse and you will notice a new icon in the toolbar that resembles a cellphone with a redish/pink detailing on its screen. That is your new virtual device manager.

16,560 PointsSorry. I did not know that the Mac version did not come bundled with VirtualBox like the Windows package does.
Download the virtualbox with this link http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.3.12/VirtualBox-4.3.12-93733-OSX.dmg

16,560 PointsWell are you having any errors in regards to the original procedures I listed prior to having to detour with the virtualbox?

16,560 PointsYou should be able to install then if you haven't already you will have to register the application with a user account just your email and general info. Then try to run the emulator without concern for integration with Eclipse. Once that works you move on and try to run from inside Eclipse

16,560 PointsYou may need to right click your project name and then click the 'Target' tab. Check the Genymotion avd that you create in the genymotion application as the target device when running the application. If you get confused just select the 'Always prompt to pick device' option.
