I'm receiving the unexpected token '}'error message for this code. I'm using the if statement to the best of my attempt. Is it the (e) parameter that needs to be changed?

I think in this case the reason you are getting the unexpected token error is because you added a '(' before the 'LI'.

If you remove the parentheses just before the 'LI' on this line, I think that will solve your issue.

if (event.target.tagName == ('LI') {

You are spot on Keith. I didn't even catch the parenthesis. Good one!

You are close, but the tagName you are looking for is INPUT not LI. A good way to test this is to add console.log(event.target.tagName); to the code right below section.addEventListener('click', (e) => { and then using Chrome, press F12 and select Console. Whenever you select a text box or click save, it will log the tagName in the Console.

section.addEventListener('click', (e) => {
  // console.log(event.target.tagName); // UNCOMMENT TO SEE WHAT TAGS ARE BEING SELECTED
  if (event.target.tagName === 'INPUT') {
    e.target.style.backgroundColor = 'rgb(255, 255, 0)';
  }
});
