Quiz Question Does transparency only work with linear gradients?
No
Yes
I went through the video transcript and the subject is never brought up. This is really frustrating because it has happen in other quiz questions. I have some examples if needed. Thanks for looking into this issue, when you have time.

15,719 PointsI agree with you, John. I've ran into several of these questions myself. I also perused the transcript, and the video, and found only one slight indication that would even remotely suggest that transparency also applies to other gradients when Guil says, "CSS gradients can also be applied as transparent full-page backgrounds." Even here, it's not clear at all what types of gradients can be set as transparent.
Personally, though, I'd rather see some more challenges and/or tasks in those challenges in each stage of something. A lot of the "challenges" I've seen on here spell out exactly what you have to do. I'd rather be told that "blah blah blah" needs to happen, and I need to figure out how to get it done. Most learning comes from practice, not parroting back what we've just heard.

6,962 PointsBINGO!! Marcus! I could not have said it better. As much as code challenges are creepy lol... I do admit that is where the rubber meets the road. To bad we couldn't do a mock up of a code challenge on our own in codepen. The code challenge interface is not at forgiving and trying to see the change by preview can lead to accidental code submits and an unnecessary RED BAR of death...lol. Go back jack do it again....(loves Steely Dan)

15,719 PointsHaha John, I love the name "Red Bar of Death", which I shall henceforth call that dreaded little bar!
I doubt we'll see anything with Codepen, because Codepen isn't really designed to "check" code like that. It is a wonderful site, of course, but it's just not appropriate for what Treehouse needs in this application.
They updated the Challenges program behind the scenes a few weeks ago, because when I made a mistake in a JavaScript challenge, I had to go back to Task One because it wasn't working properly...What? The code I had posted had nothing to do with the code from Task One, but they made me go all the way back through a few times. It got pretty darn annoying lmao

Courses Plus Student 8,447 PointsI agree this isn't the first time this has happened. I also use the transcript I actually read it before watching the video. And it frustrates heck out of me.
