JavaScript

Inject the posts object into your template, naming it "posts".

'use strict';

var express = require('express'),
  posts = require('./mock/posts.json');

var app = express();

app.set('view engine', 'jade');
app.set('views', __dirname + '/templates');

app.get('/', function(req, res){
  res.render('main')
});

app.get('posts', function(req, res){
  res.render('posts')
});

app.listen(3000, function() {
  console.log("The frontend server is running on port 3000!");
});

How do I pass this? Not working

I have checked the challenge and this is what's being requested:

You don't need to add another route post.... what you need is to add the , {posts: posts} as the second parameter after the 'main'.

app.get('/', function(req, res){
  res.render('main', {posts: posts})
});

Its not working. T_T

jason chan, I have corrected the answer.

Thanks bro. I just realized. It was calling an object. life saver.

This is the correct answer, but folks: please try helping folks without simply posting the answer. Learning how to get the answer is worth ten times just cutting and pasting the answer. It doesn't help at all.

Dry Answer ....

'use strict';

var express = require('express'), posts = require('./mock/posts.json');

var app = express();

app.set('view engine', 'jade'); app.set('views', __dirname + '/templates');

app.get('/', function(req, res){ res.render('main') });

app.get('/', function(req, res){ res.render( 'main', {posts: posts}) })

app.listen(3000, function() { console.log("The frontend server is running on port 3000!"); });
