Inside the new 'addSong' method, add the code that performs the segue to the second view controller. In the storyboard for this app, the segue we want to perform has its identifier set as "showAddSong".

Hi guys having a few difficulties with this task PLEASE help. My code is as follows:

import "MusicViewController.h"

@implementation MusicViewController

(void)addSong {[self performSegueWithIdentifier:@"showAddSong" sender: self]

SecondViewController *secondView = (SecondViewController *)[segue destinationViewController]};

Hi Keith,

You don't need the -

 SecondViewController *secondView = (SecondViewController *)[segue destinationViewController]};

It would of worked with -

 - (void) addSong { [self performSegueWithIdentifier:@"showAddSong" sender:self]; }

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much Micheal

I used:

<code>

  • (IBAction) addSong { [self performSegueWithIdentifier:@"showAddSong" sender:self]; } </code>
