Int to float question.

Why did the program output 2 when kenneth wrote int(2.2)? I do not understand why that made the output 2? Thanks.

Hi Kenneth,

Converting from a float to an int will truncate the value (remove the decimal, and everything to the right of it).

int(2.2) # 2
int(2.8) # still 2
