Interviewing Whiteboarding for Front End Web Developing

Hi, I am working on moving towards becoming a Front End Web Developer. I have a BA in Art with no CS background. As I am learning to code I am trying to also prep myself for that first interview and I am seeing some blogs where the interview process seems to include solving problems on a white board using algorithms and graphs. Some of what I am seeing seems to be geared more towards back end and I want to make sure that is the case or if I should be looking into trying to learn basic algorithmic design by taking a MOOC. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I wouldn't worry about interviews at this stage. Every company has different hiring processes and certainly front end positions wouldn't expect you to be solving complicated algorithms. Most forward-thinking companies (like Treehouse) value the ability to learn more than pre-existing knowledge. Programming languages are always changing and updating, be good at being interested and that's all you really need. Focus on the process, enjoy the courses at Treehouse and the rest will follow.
