Courses Plus Student 1,968 Pointsintro to jquery lessons - absolute garbage.
for real... how is it possible you all let this course be published. it is absolutely the worst lesson i have ever taken. the teacher skims over concepts, barely explaining anything, and sends you to mozilla developer network to explain everything. so dissappointed.

Treehouse TeacherHi there! I understand the frustration of not feeling like a full explanation was provided inside of a particular challenge or course material. This is true of courses across a broad range of schools I've been involved with. To be fair, this is an "Intro" to jQuery course and maybe some explanations might be skimmed over because a full explanation would go outside the realm of "introductory". This is just a theory.
However, one of the things I love about Treehouse is their continual interaction with their students when trying to improve the quality of their course material and challenges. In fact, they frequently enlist students to help QA their upcoming courses. On top of this, you are always encouraged to send in suggestions and feedback. If you click the "Support" link at the top of the page you can read on how to submit your suggestions. At the end of the course, you may choose to "Review" the course and leave feedback there as well.
This would be an amazing opportunity to make the course better for students across the board! I know that it doesn't solve your immediate problem, but I feel positive that any constructive feedback is always appreciated by the Treehouse staff.
Good luck to you!

16,594 PointsI hear what your saying. I don't know which intro to jquery you are taking, but for a lot of people in the past it has been kind of like hitting a wall. Some people breeze right through it, a lot don't. I didn't. It's a lot of information. Sometimes it seems like each sentence could be delved into and researched at length. Treehouse jquery courses seem to get more into the programming side of jquery. Codecadamy seems to do more of animations with elements. I havn't been on codecadmay in a while but I used to go there to get a break from Treehouse. If you find a better jquery course let me know, cause it's the best one I have found.

Courses Plus Student 1,968 Pointsim taking the full stack javascript course. I start with vanilla javascript which was taught really well. it was explained clearly, there was a lot of great examples shown, and the teacher coded the examples explaining the code as they went. then i get to intro to jquery... and the drop in quality of the lessons dropped so dramatically it's very off putting. i almost want to go look elsewhere to find a better jquery course. anyways maybe i was a little harsh so i apologize to the teacher. that being said the intro to jquery course should be updated. that's my opinion.

65,469 PointsFor me, an ever worse course that didn't explain anything that I really wanted to know was the Python Data Science course.
I barely learned anything from that course, however I'd really like to learn about Data Science in Python and the
numpymodule and everything.Bad teacher, good topic. :(
