In this course you'll learn about Node.js. Why you'd want to use it, where you can use it and what's available to you when writing Node.js applications vs writing JavaScript code in the browser.

We'll then build a command line application that goes out over the internet and retrieves Treehouse profile information for any Treehouse user and displays the total number of badges and points earned in the JavaScript topic area.
