iOS Blog reader , app games all sort of them , hmmm?

Hi,

So heres what iv been going throw. I did cople of games with tutorials , like space cat, breaking bricks, crystal ball and one more . I found space cat quite hard , or was it math?

So as i did courses on them , is it okay for me to move to blog reader or to self destructive app etc?

as i know k making an app game , and weather like game , its like another skill right? so if i want to learn one thing for good now , would you suggest me to just do the crystal ball again ? i don't think i can really make anything , if i look at the code and put it in my project i think i can do something . But as month passes now , i think i should been doing more practice o my own ?

Should i just stay on games and get the right? as well as should i do something , like creating a player and putting him on screen and then just do the same thing like 5 times on my own project without no looking only for a little help ? i found this different than as i would learn web development .

Do you have any suggestions ?

In my humble opinion, you should ask yourself these question: What interest you the most? What kind of apps that you go crazy about?

Of course, having the skill to build all kind of apps is valuable and good. But as you have pointed out, it's very different. Game app development is a kind of a whole different thing, the reason why I say "kind of" is because there are still some similarities like the languages (Objective-C / Swift) and etc. But the mindset to build a game is different, user experience is different, the whole thought process is different.

So, if you really like to develop games, go get hyped about it. The skill set is set is the same (Objective-C /Swift), understanding of objects (SKNode and etc). The only difference is the environment you are working on, which is usually in SpriteKit.

So yeah...Main question is what apps gets you excited ? I believe if you answer that, you know which route to take.

Best of luck!! =]

Yes true, i didn't actually though to ask it my self tbh . I actually would like to know how to make this and this and see what interest me more when i dive in deeper in it . I think making games is cool as i want to make my own big game , when I'm older . But making apps like weather apps , i really like these sort because it can help people in their lives too . Make something useful. As we know games , are waste of time but at least not 100% i would say 30min each day is good actually , but it depends what , flappy bird is bad, a shooting game, or a puzzle game its good as it improves certain skill .

I find that sprite kit and the other one , can't remember the name , the table? is pretty the same when making a simple game .

I believe at the start making a weather app is easier , as i get some of things i think that are used on it . But in other hand i think its the bardest and making games is the easiest after the first step . Like in weather app kind , you can invent a system , like algorithm etc.. so yeah

Thank you . And you too :)
