iOS Track: Confused about section/course to be removed

Hi

I have completed 4 out of 6 sections in the iOS Track. Next up is http://teamtreehouse.com/library/ios-foundations - When I open this section the following message is displayed "This course will be retired on May 1, 2014 as some of it is outdated. Please make sure you are following the iOS Development Track.".

I am confused about the "Please make sure you are following the iOS Development Track". What exactly am I supposed to be doing? Should I leave out section 5 completely and continue with section 6? Or are only some of the lessons in section 5 (e.g. ARC and storyboards) outdated and I can still complete the others?

I really want to learn more about Core Data, so I would like to complete this course (which is part of section 5). But if it's outdated it wouldn't be worth the effort. If so: Can you recommend another tutorial about core data (preferably in combination with saving data from the web, e.g. parse.com)?

Thank you

Roger

I did the iOS Foundations section and learned some valuable things. It also has some old code that is depricated in the new versions of iOS and Xcode. So I would do it while it is there. I think there is a lot there you can get out of it.
