Is a Django View the same as Views in the MVC pattern?

So Love said that in Django, they call Controllers (see MVC) Views. Isn't that confusing? Will this be a headache if I ever want to learn web development in Rails or any other language?

Yes Django-Views are can be considered MVC-Controllers. Instead of MVC, Django uses an "MTV" organization: Model, Template, View. It's just terminology. Here is a longer post from Django Docs.

I see that it is just terminology but it confuses newbies if there are two similar terminologies where the meanings of the same words are different. :) Especially, if you are also learning stuff like AngularJS.
