Is anyone having trouble running their Stormy weather app on tablets?

So I just finished the Stormy weather app with the Android Lists and Adapters course. I have no problem running the app on my phone (Samsung 3 with 4.4.2), however, when I try to run the app on my Google Nexus 7 (1st generation running 5.1.1) or my dad's Samsun tablet (running 4.4.2).

This is the error that appears only when running on tablets.

From that stacktrace I'd say the method you're using to get location data isn't working on them. It's a bit difficult to tell what exactly what's wrong without seeing the code you're using to get the location and the details of the tablets (do they use Google Play for their app store? Do they have GPS or only network-based location services?)
