Is $(function() {//code here } the same as calling .ready()?

So is the shorthand of $(function() { } the same as calling .ready()? I am a little lost at this part.

hi brian, yes it is

$(function() {
    console.log( "ready!" ); //example
}); // remember to close it

you can find more information about it on the jquery website

and
