is it worth it?

I paused my subscription mainly because i find the iOS content somewhat "basic". i seriously doubt this would land you to a job. Are there anyone who benefit from this course and actually found a job or something ?

thanks ..your answers are really valuable. TBH, i cant decide whether treehouse or a course on udemy is a better choice. i really like the structure and the quality of treehouse.

I would recommend completing the full treehouse track first, then take one of the good iOS Swift courses on Udemy. The treehouse courses will enable you to get the most out of the Udemy course; without the firm foundation of working knowledge gained from the swift treehouse track, it would be very difficult to get benefit from the Udemy course.

Well this is a fun question. I haven't done the iOS content since it is an area I'm not interested but I feel the answers are the same for all the content on Treehouse. Is it guaranteed to land you a job? Probably not, since nothing really guarantees you a job. However it will give you a better understanding of the fundamentals. If you think it is beneath you or that it is too basic, then as always with programming, the fastest way of getting you a job or boosting your chances of being employed is by enhancing your resumΓ© by doing your own projects.

I have completed the entire iOS Swift track, reviewed several times over, and re-taken code challenges many times for review and practice, and now I feel as if I have a firm foundation of knowledge from which I will be able to use to learn the more advanced concepts that are needed to actually have the iOS development skill level of a professional/working iOS developer. However, the amount of learning and work needed to achieve this after having completed the full track will be much more compared to the time and effort put into finishing the Swift track in the first place.

Udemy charges sometimes as much as $99 or $150 for each course because their courses are made by random individuals who make their own course, upload it to the site and hook up their accounts to pocket your coins. So unless your penny pinching, its cheaper either way to keep your treehouse subscription.
