Is the "integration" branch the same as the "develop" branch that is mentioned in Vincent Driessen's branching model?

When we start "git flow init" and it asks us: "Which branch should be used for integration of the 'next release'"? We were told to name it "integration".

Is this integration branch the same infinite lifetime branch named "develop" that is mentioned in Driessen's branching model?

I believe it is, Tommy says in the Teacher's Notes that git flow is based on Driessen's branching model. And it looks like git flow by default names this branch develop.
