24,113 PointsIs the Port Number Unique? Or can we copy the same port number that was on the video when doing the same steps
When I upload my own files to the web host, do I receive the port number in the email after purchasing? Or do I just used the same port number in the video? I ask because in the video he says "in this case," and I'm interpreting that as "you have a unique port number."

1,402 PointsHi Carlo,
You should get an email from your hosting service that gives you the port number. In my case, it was the same as it was in the video, but yours may vary, especially if you used a different hosting service instead of Web Hosting for Students.

24,113 PointsThanks Chris,
I haven't purchased it yet, but I was just so confused during the video that I had to ask the question. Thanks again!

By default, any web browser will look for port 80 for http. If you purchase a website from a webhost, and the webhost owner gives you a specific port to access your panel. then it is for security reasons. However, I don't see why they will bother you by this. they should be the ones who can redirect you to a secure port. Hope this helps.
