231,269 PointsYou seem to have the "classic" solution there. You could eliminate the temporary string variables and add one to prevent calculating the size twice, but that's just minor implementation differences, not really a change in approach:

half = len(string) // 2
return string[:half].lower() + string[half:].upper()
