PHP Build a Simple PHP Application Working With Functions Introducing User-Defined Functions

Is there a more simple way to echo out the return value of a function?

I understand what is going on here: $count = mimic_count($flavors); echo $count;

But why can't we just do: echo mimic_count($flavors);

1 Answer

In short, you can. If the function returns a value, then echo mimic_count($flavors); is perfectly acceptable code.
