4,775 PointsIs there any way to mark challenges/videos/quizzes etc.. as passed ?
Hi,
I am currently following the "How to make a Website" however, given I already followed the main basics on another website just the day before, I didn't watch the videos nor took the quizzes, completed the code challenges.. And it results in my homepage/course description "Resume" button to always make me resume from the very start of the course, which is annoying as I always have to go to the step when I've stopped.
Is there anyway to mark the steps as passed without actually doing them?
Thanks !

14,636 PointsAs of right now, no, there's no way for you to "test out" of a stage or course. I would recommend just going through the steps so that it marks as complete. For the videos, You don't have to sit through all of them or anything, just open them all in a new tab and let them play for about 20 seconds and close em. They'll show up as completed after that.
As for the quizzes and code challenges, if you know the material, you'll be able to complete them no problem. Honestly, watching the videos is usually the longest part of going through the stages so just going through the quizzes and code challenges won't take up much of your time. I've had to do this with several stages across many courses and it may seem like a hassle at first but it's really no big deal.
While you're at it, I'd shoot a suggestion to them via the support email and tell them you'd really like to see an option to test out of some course material. It may be an option they're considering and the more support they see from the community for something, the more likely they are to move forward with implementing a feature.

Courses Plus Student 15,597 PointsHey Alexandre,
What do you mean "On another website"? As far as I know there is no option to mark them as completed, but you can press every video and skip it to the last 10 seconds, this will mark it as complete.
I still highly recommend that you see the videos entirely, you will be surprised how excellent the explanation is comparing to other online courses.

But if watching it again is the only solution I'll do so, a reminder is always good to have :) thanks !

... my life as a mod in one sentence. You pointed out something I failed to mention but should have, though. Typically, the videos here are much more thorough in their explanations about things than a lot of other places so, yeah, really should watch the video. I mean, you can watch them on 1.5x or 2x speed so there's that at least! Thanks for pointing that out!
