Is this a CSS function?

I hope I can describe this well enough. But some nice sites have this great way to look at a series of pictures. You click a picture and you get a foreground (for lack of a better term) with the picture enlarged and surrounded by a semi-transparent background, large, distinct arrows on either side of the picture so you can move to the next picture or back. Does anyone know this function's name? Is it CSS? Thanks, Demian

Hi Demian,

I think what you're referring to are JacaScript driven galleries. There are lots out there, most powered by JQuery.

Just Google "JQuery Gallery" and you will find lots of examples.

Matt

They are called lightboxes
