2,288 PointsIs treehouse a good way to learn to actually get a job as a junior web designer? On the $25 plan?
I finished my graphic design degree and someone at an agency told me, a lot of agencies are screaming for web designers so I want to learn fast (I know it's a struggle and will take time don't get me wrong) I just would like to know the best method
thank you for your time!

Courses Plus Student 6,497 PointsI think its worth paying the $50 & getting the files. Tons of people are asking for help with coding on the simplest stuff & I think its because theyre not using the provided files. It cuts down on wasted time. But if money is a factor, the $25 plan is still great for learning. Everything is broken down into reasonable segments & well explained.

The biggest difference between the two plans is the ability to download the videos for offline viewing and reviewing. But if you take good notes as you go through the videos, take screenshots of important snippets shown, and can replay the video when/if needed, you should be okay with the $25 plan.
Remember, the Community is always there to help when you do get stuck.
Keep Coding! :)

2,288 PointsI see, I haven't hit any trouble so far without the files but I've been learning on my own too previously, this just seemed a good way to learn. In regards to my other question, is this a good way to become employable as a web designer?

We've had a lot of students go from novice to employed as developers using our Basic plan. You can even see some of these stories on our blog!

Treehouse offers a fairly comprehensive and extensive learning environment. I have learned more here that any other site and have always been satisfied.
There are some testimonials from students and some blog posts that showcase students' success stories. The most recent post about industry myths was very reassuring.
I believe that most companies care more about what you "can" actually do, rather than what a piece of paper "says" you can do. With that in mind, it will be your personal projects and portfolio that will be you most powerful tools in your employment search.
Also, coding is a life-long-learning venture. And as great as Treehouse is, don't limit your learning resources.
So, yes, I think Treehouse is an excellent place to become an employable designer/developer.
Good Luck! :)
