Issues Updating ADT

Hello, I am having an issue regarding the ADT updates. I understand there is an issue updating to the latest version, and the suggested fix is to download and install the new bundle from Google. However, when I do this I get the error that Eclipse cannot locate my JDK. However, when I use the package Treehouse supplies, it works just fine, outside of the fact that I am getting in the AppCompat v7_2 and v7_3 folders, which I believe to be due to my SDK being up to date, but the ADT is not.

My question is this, why does the Treehouse bundle work and the Google bundle not? More to the point, how do I get the Google bundle to work? All downloads are in the 64 bit version, and my computer is the 64 bit version. Thanks!

I had the same problem, I even downloaded the JDK first and still couldn't figure it out. After trying forever, I gave up and am just using the treehouse bundle.
