It says that the object() takes no parameters

Can somebody please explain to me what am I doing wrong? Probably could be something minor that I'm missing or maybe something big, either way any help would be appreciated.

first_class.py
class Student:
    name = "Your Name"

    def __init___(self, name):
        return self.name()

    def praise(self):
        return "You inspire me, {}".format(self.name)

    def reassurance(self):
        return "Chin up, {}. You'll get it next time!".format(self.name)

    def feedback(self, grade):
        if grade > 50:
            return self.praise()
        return self.reassurance()

Hey Jorge Grajeda, you’re very close.

  • there is an extra underscore in __init__ method name. This causes the __init__ method from base class object to be executed since it was not overridden. With the name argument used by the checker in creating an instance, it causes the error since the base method does not accept arguments.
  • the attribute self.name is not callable. Remove the parens.
  • assign the parameter name to the attribute self.name
  • the __init__ method does not use a return statement. The __init__ method modifies the newly created instance in-place so no return is needed.

Post back if you need more help. Good luck!!!
